3D Week 3 Hardsurface Weapons part 1

This Week I Modeled a hand gun based on the blueprint of a Nerf Gun. I worked exclusively in fusion 360.

Render Using 360. I added a club bayonet for melee attacks. The Ball is going to be some sort of electrified catalyst used for stunning targets. It was originally going to be a bottle opener that worked as a bayonet.
Render in ZBrush.

Week 2 Knife Project Part 2

This week I am continuing the knife model. First I have exported the knife from fusion 360 to maya by way of ZBrush. The picture shows the current wire frame. The Knife is divided into three parts( handle, blade, and clip).
For the knife I had to come up with a backstory. I took inspiration from the lore of Halo 5 Guardians. In the Warzone game mode players have access to upgrades for standard weapons. These include new scopes, suppressors, and energy bayonets. The bayonets in particular are made from reverse engineered alien technology. History shows that most technological innovations are made for military purpose and then further developed for civilian use. This particular model is a utility knife made by The Liang Dortmund Corporation who were heavily involved in the plot of Halo 5. Accidental activation by button could be very dangerous, so the knife is built like a standard flip knife.

Semester 2 Week 1 Knife Project

This week I learned about hard-surface modeling in Fusion 360.  This software is great for precise cuts and bevels that are found more commonly in mechanical devices. I built the models in Fusion 360 setting up image planes and using a video as reference. Once completed I exported the file as an STL into Zbrush.
